So many people ask me for tips on how to lose weight. Then they tell me everything they are doing “right” - but they never tell what they are doing wrong. They are quick to recall the salad they had for dinner, but slow to tell me about the cookies and ice cream they had an hour later. They tell me about the 3 miles they ran that morning, but don’t tell me that their protein shake had more calories in it than a whopper and fries.
It seems to me, that a lot of people are doing a lot right, yet still doing so much wrong. Why? Because they are willing to add exercise, add protein shakes, add cardio, add vitamins, etc. - but they aren’t as willing to give up anything. Whether it’s giving up one more hour of sleep to get up earlier for cardio or give up unhealthy eating habits - fitness requires sacrifice (but it’s So worth it!).
Fitness requires balance. You don’t have to live perfect, eat organic food and never drink a diet coke or candy bar again - but the more you do right, the less you should want to do wrong. Be honest with yourself. What are you holding back? What have you not been willing to let go of? Is it really worth getting in the way of your goal? #fitness #fitnessmotivation #workout #diet #dietmotivation #weightloss #fitnessquotes #pfitblog #motivationalquotes #gymquotes #fitfluential #gym
